The Central Workshop will be held at a new location, Stanton airport located 30 miles south of Minneapolis, MinnesotaStanton is located at the intersection of highways 19 and 56.  The FBO at this grass strip can provide glider rides, power rides, Supercub tows and glider and power rental after an insurance checkride.  Please submit attached registration.

Miscellaneous Notes:

 

We invite all ESA members and other interested parties to the workshop at this excellent glider and light sport grass strip where thermals abound.  Those who wish to fly Stanton gliders or aircraft are encouraged to arrive on Friday for insurance check rides (Stanton Sport Aviation … 507-645-4030)

 

In addition to Stanton commercial rides, informal glider rides may be available with the MSC, Minnesota Sailplane Club.  A signup list is available and rides are given by pilots who are flying a two-place ship and choose to give a ride.

 

Saturday will be the big day, with a cook-out in the evening.

From the south, north or west:

From I35 head east on Hy 19 through Northfield for a total of 14 miles to Stanton.  Entrance is just short of Hy 56.

 

From the east:

From Hy 52, head west at Cannon Falls on Hy19 to Hy 56 (6 miles).  Turn south on 56 for 1 mile. Turn west on Hy 19 to reach the airport entrance.
